A significant decrease in gold prices was witnessed across the country on Tuesday, with the price of one tola of 24carat gold decreasing by Rs 3,800 to Rs 354,365. The price of 10 grams of 24carat gold also decreased by Rs 3,258 to Rs 303,810. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 22carat gold decreased by Rs 2,987 to Rs 278,502. This decline reflects the global market situation where the price of gold closed at $3,327, down $39.
A decrease in silver prices was also recorded, however, this decrease was slight compared to gold. The price of one tola of silver decreased by Rs 9 to Rs 3,790. The price of 10 grams of 24carat silver closed at Rs 3,249, down by Rs 8. Globally, the price of silver recorded a slight decrease of $0.09 and closed at $36.06.
