Sindh Governor Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi has said that the business community serves as the backbone of the national economy and that the government is taking comprehensive measures to provide investors with a secure, conducive and business-friendly environment.
He expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation of leading industrialists and prominent business personalities at Governor House. The delegation included Arif Habib, Aqeel Karim Dhedhi, Khalid Tawab, Muhammad Hassan Bakshi, Ahmed Chinoy, Hanif Gohar and Haji Ghani Usman, according to information from the Sindh Governor’s.
The meeting included detailed discussions on promoting investment in Sindh, development of the industrial and construction sectors, strengthening commercial activities and the overall economic situation.
The governor stated that Karachi is the economic hub of the country and a highly suitable city for investment. He added that growth in the industrial and construction sectors would create new employment opportunities and significantly boost economic activity.
Members of the delegation emphasized the need for continued business-friendly policies, industrial growth and economic improvement. They also presented various proposals regarding Karachi’s infrastructure, traffic management, water supply, sewerage system and urban facilities.
He assured the business and industrial community of full cooperation in addressing their concerns and promoting investment, adding that strong and continuous coordination between the government and private sector is essential for sustainable economic growth.
