Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has arrived in New York on a three-day official visit to the United States.
According to an official information today, he will attend high-level UN Security Council Open Debate titled “Maintenance of International Peace and Security: Upholding the Purposes and Principles of the UN Charter and Strengthening the UN-centered International System”, being convened under China’s Presidency of the UN Security Council.
He will also hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts, as well as senior UN officials.
On arrival, the Deputy Prime Minister was received by Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, and Consul General of Pakistan in New York Aamer Ahmad Atozai.
