Oil and gas reserves discovered from ‘Bobi Deep-1’ well in Sanghar, Sindh

Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has made a major breakthrough today with the discovery of oil and gas reserves in the ‘Bobi Deep-1’ well in Sanghar district, Sindh, located within the Bobi and Dhakarki mining lease.

OGDCL, which holds full ownership of the mining lease, announced that the exploration in ‘Bobi Deep-1’ has revealed significant hydrocarbon reserves.

Initial tests at the site showed promising results, reaching a production of 2,000 barrels of crude oil and 1.1 million standard cubic feet of gas per day. During these assessments, the wellhead flow pressure was recorded significantly at 1,050 PSI.

This well was carefully drilled to a depth of 3,305 meters in the Sembar Formation, demonstrating OGDCL’s strong technical and operational expertise.

This discovery adds a remarkable chapter to OGDCL’s exploration achievements, potentially contributing to the energy sector and economic development in the region.
