PPP’s Historic Power Show in Ranipur, Warning to Functional Muslim League

In a significant demonstration of political strength, the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) held a grand rally in Ranipur, attended by thousands of enthusiastic supporters. This event marked a historic occasion as Nawab Ali Wassan, the President of PPP District Khairpur and former National Assembly member, was warmly welcomed at more than twenty locations along his route. Supporters showered him with flower petals and presented traditional Sindhi gifts, such as caps, Ajrak, and Boski shawls, amidst the chants of “Jiye Bhutto” and “Jiye Nawab Ali Wassan.”

The gathering, hosted by Sardar Nazir Ahmed Jamro, the Vice President of PPP District Khairpur, saw tremendous participation, highlighting the strong grassroots support for the party. In his speech, Nawab Ali Wassan announced the commencement of “Qalandar Ka Dhamal,” symbolizing the party’s growing momentum. He issued a stern warning to Functional Muslim League leaders Rasheed Shah and Ismail Shah, advising them to abandon their dreams of political advantage, as the people of Sindh would no longer fall prey to deceptions.

Criticizing the federal government and MQM, Wassan stated that Sindh’s autonomy could not be compromised. He emphasized PPP’s unwavering commitment to protecting Sindh’s rights and maintaining its solidarity. Praising President Asif Ali Zardari’s political foresight, he highlighted Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s emerging significance on the national stage and predicted that PPP’s influence would extend across all provinces and the federation, including Gilgit-Baltistan, in the future.

During the event, special prayers were offered for the swift recovery of ailing party leaders, including MPAs Naeem Ahmed Kharal, Sajid Bhanbhro, and others. Other notable speakers included Sardar Nazir Ahmed Jamro, Fida Hussain Jamro, and Syed Fayaz Ali Shah Jilani. The event concluded with prayers for the party’s progress, national security, and remembrance of the martyrs, setting a new milestone in Ranipur’s political landscape with public participation.
