Karachi, September 06, 2018 (PPI-OT): Provincial minister for Health and Population Welfare dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho has said that the health department has planned to introduce a Software to improve healthcare delivery system in Sindh and specially to monitor the performance of LHWs and LHSs across the province. This she said while presiding over a meeting in her office here on Thursday. Additional Chief Secretary Health dr. Muhammad Usman Chachar, Secretary Population Welfare Laiq Ahmed and other officers also attended the meeting.
She said that with the introduction of such Software it would be easy to have a vigilant eye on CMWs, LHWs, LHSs regarding patients visited, visit details, new births, treatment provided, location, missing vaccinations, general feedback and issues faced by them. She added, ‘ This software will cover all stakeholders including patients, vaccinators, community midwives, lady health workers, lady health supervisors, doctors, Talukak health coordinators and District Health officers as well.
Dr.Azra Pechuho admitted that the monitoring and evolution of employees of health department including outreach teams and district staff on day -to day basis was a must because without doing so, we could not improve healthcare delivery system in Sindh. The provincial minister for health and population welfare stressed upon them to use modern technology to connect the people living and performing in far flung areas.
