About 8 lakh children to be given typhoid vaccine in Malir district: Murtaza Baloch

Karachi, November 18, 2019 (PPI-OT): Provincial Minister for Human Settlements Ghulam Murtaza Baloch has said that the government is running a campaign against diseases across Sindh province and the government is trying to protect all children from all diseases including typhoid. He said this while inaugurating the campaign at Memon Goth Hospital on the occasion of the launch of typhoid vaccination campaign by the Sindh government.

The provincial minister launched the campaign by marking the vaccine-laden baby. At the inaugural ceremony at Memon Goth Hospital, DHO Malir Dr Ali Ahmed Memon and MS gave provincial minister Ghulam Murtaza Baloch a campaign briefing. Ghulam Murtaza Baloch, provincial minister for Human Settlements, was told that the typhoid campaign would be administered vaccine to 7.77 million children in the district Malir only and for the purpose 646 teams had been formed during the campaign that would vaccinate children from 9 years to 15 years.

The provincial minister for Human Settlements, Ghulam Murtaza Baloch said that the Sindh government was working comprehensively against typhoid and dengue and hopefully the campaign would produce positive results. He added that awareness campaigns should also be launched in the areas on the Typhoid Vaccine Campaign so that parents could participate fully and might be able save their children from diseases.
