Abu Rehan CC Clinches Semi-Final Spot in Asif Mahmood Memorial Tournament

Abu Rehan Cricket Club secured a spot in the semi-finals of the first Asif Mahmood Memorial Junior District Club Cricket Tournament on October 15, 2023, organized by the Regional Cricket Association Karachi Zone One. Their victory came against Muhammad Hussain Cricket Club, largely due to an outstanding all-round performance by Muhammad Azlan.

In the quarter-final match at the Young Fighter Ground, Muhammad Hussain Cricket Club posted a total of 220 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their allotted 40 overs, with Monis Nadeem scoring 58, Umar Khattab 57, and Zubair Khan 29. Muhammad Azlan and Inshal Nawab each took two wickets for Abu Rehan CC.

In reply, Abu Rehan Cricket Club successfully chased down the target, scoring 221 runs for the loss of just two wickets in 35.2 overs. Muhammad Azlan led the way with a brilliant unbeaten 81, supported by Faraz Ahmed Khan with 50, retired hurt, and Hamza Saleem with 47 not out.

Following the match, Regional Cricket Association Zone One Secretary and Abu Rehan Cricket Club President Arif Waheed Khan recognized Muhammad Azlan as the Player of the Match for his exceptional performance with both bat and ball.
