A delegation from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) visited the National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC) Headquarters at WAPDA House in Lahore to assess the progress of key projects and discuss future initiatives.

According to NTDC information, the meeting focused on the implementation of the ADB-funded Power Transmission Strengthening Project (PTSP) and the Second Power Transmission Enhancement Investment Program: Tranche-4 midterm review action plan.

The ADB delegation, led by Joonho Hwang, Director of the Energy Sector Office, and Ehtasham Khattak, Senior Project Officer and Mission Co-leader, was joined by Habib Hassan, Sector Analyst for the Energy Sector, Pakistan Resident Mission (ADB). The NTDC team, led by Managing Director Engr Muhammad Waseem Younas, provided updates on the ongoing projects and discussed the progress of the Tranche-4 initiative.

The meeting emphasized the development and procurement process for PTSP and reviewed the status of future transmission projects. The ADB team expressed its commitment to continued cooperation with NTDC for the successful execution of these critical infrastructure projects.

The NTDC team also included Engr Dr Khawaja Riffat Hassan, General Manager (Design and Engineering), Engr Zabeeh Ullah, Additional Manager (PMU), and Engr Yasoon Aslam, Assistant Manager (PMU). The collaboration between ADB and NTDC is expected to play a key role in strengthening Pakistan’s power transmission infrastructure.
