LARKANA:Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Tuesday that Imran Khan had committed a coup to remain Prime Minister for three to four more days. Becoming a Bhutto does not have to compromise his principles and that he has to mount a throne, he added.

Addressing a ceremony held in Garhi Khuda Bux late last night on the occasion of the 43rd martyrdom of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, the PPP chairman said that the hard work and struggle of the jiyalas had ended the selected rule of Imran Khan.

We have exposed his true face to the world, he said. “On the very first day we declared it selected and told the world that he was imposed on us through fraud”, Bilawal said. He said that Imran Khan started attacks on the constitution, democracy, media and 18th amendment from the very first day of his rule. On the intoxication of his power every citizen’s liberty was attacked, freedom of the press was attacked, independence of judiciary was attacked and parliament was attacked and did not tolerate criticism from any political opponent, Bilawal added.

During the three years he did nothing for the people, and if he did, only for himself and his friends. Imran promised that he would commit suicide but would not go to the IMF, but the deal he made with the same IMF was detrimental to the country and the people. This deal has upset every Pakistani and every class. The farmer continued to work hard in the morning, but the policies of Imran Khan did not allow the farmer to receive his reward. Imran Khan promised 10 million jobs to the youth, but did not fulfill his commitment. Imran Khan did not even forgive pensioners and raised the prices of medicines.

The PPP chairman said that Imran Khan has proved to be a liar and a hypocrite, this person will no longer be the PM. He claimed to end corruption, but broke the corruption record. Amnesty International calls Imran Khan’s worst corrupt government today, Imran Khan’s own people are accusing him and the first lady of corruption, but Imran Khan is not responding. Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that when we were speaking that the public would march and pull-out Imran Khan, he was thinking we were joking, he was calling us as a kid, making fun of no confidence motion. Bilawal said that the Prime Minister was so cowardly that he was running away rather than facing us.

Bilawal said that whatever decision comes from the Supreme Court, the seat of Imran Khan will not be saved. He has the misconception that he will come back to power. You were defeated in parliament, now you will be defeated in the people’s court, Bilawal declared. The PPP Chairman said, “We are soldiers of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, and his constitution is the trust that we will protect.” He said that if this judiciary can take advantage of the opportunity to steer the country out of crisis, the stain on the judiciary could be washed away, adding the constitution should be ratified, and parliament should be given the opportunity to make electoral reforms so that no future elections are disputed.

Bilawal said that the PPP never got a clear election, but the jiyalas never backed down. He said that if the decision of the judiciary increases the dignity of the parliament, then Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will be elected and reforms will be made, but if the decision is something else then we are ready for the election.

We have seen with our own eyes that in all four provinces there is echo of the slogans of Jeay Bhutto. PPP Chairman said Imran Khan has been constantly talking about foreign conspiracy, we demand that evidence be brought. Bilawal said that the people know that we have struggled for three years, inside and outside the parliament, to bring no trust move. If there was a conspiracy to overthrow the government, then Imran Khan himself ended his government and made the conspiracy a success.

He said that when Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was threatened by Henry Kissinger, he took it because the Quaid-e-Awam made Pakistan an atomic force. But what has Imran Khan done? Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto gave the country missile technology. When President Asif Ali Zardari was under pressure, he gave projects such as Pak-Iran gas pipeline and CPEC. Is Imran Khan being bullied because he terminated the Pak-Iran gas pipeline project and stopped the CPEC project?

We were asked to be part of the Arab Spring and the Syrian war, we refused, Bilawal added. When Salala was attacked, we shut down the NATO supply for 8 months and kept it until Hillary Clinton apologized to Pakistan. The US has never even called Imran Khan, Bilawal said adding all his politics is based on lies and hypocrisy.

Earlier, while addressing a gathering of workers at Lakhi Mour in Shikarpur, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that three years of devastation had taken place in the name of change. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, PPP Sindh President Nisar Ahmed Khuhro and a large number of men and women party workers attended the anniversary commemoration.
