ISLAMABAD: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has ordered inquiry into the delay in completion of One Patient One ID project.
Presiding over a review meeting of the project here in Islamabad on Thursday, he said that effort to swap One Patient One ID project of National Information Technology Board with Shaukat Khanum Hospital seems to be conflict of interest.
The Minister also expressed concern over nontransparent implementation of MIS System of Shaukat Khanum Hospital while changing the software prepared by a government institution. The objective of One Patient One ID project was to effectively use the financial sources and provision of better facilities to the patients at government’s hospitals. The project was stopped mysteriously in June last year despite spending over fifty one million rupees.
