New Delhi, August 19, 2019 (PPI-OT): All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen’s sole Mumbai MLA Waris Pathan was arrested by Mumbai police for offering special prayers for the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Waris Pathan was detained after he offered special prayers in a mosque in Madanpura in south Mumbai. Local people said that prayers were offered for the people of besieged Jammu and Kashmir. India scrapped the special status of Jammu and Kashmir by abrogating Article 370 of its constitution on August 5.
