AJK Assembly condemns Indian State terrorism in Occupied Kashmir

The AJK Legislative Assembly in a special session held in Muzaffarabad on Friday urged the UN to implement its 1949 resolutions acknowledging right to self-determination of the Kashmiris.

The Assembly in different resolutions invited the attention of international community towards the adopted resolution by United Nation Commission for India and Pakistan on 5th Jan, 1949.

The resolution says that India is not ready to implement UNSC acknowledged resolutions giving right to self-determination to the Kashmiris and applying all means to suppress freedom movement for the past 70 years.

The resolution says durable peace in South Asia could not be maintained without resolving the core issue of Kashmir through peaceful means.

It strongly condemned Indian State terrorism and human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir.

It appealed UN, European Union, OIC, Amnesty International and other world level human rights organization to use their influence in giving right to self-determination to the Kashmiris.

The House through a resolution thanked Turkish government for its unequivocal support to the Kashmir cause at every international forum.

Through another resolution, the house strongly condemned US President Donald Trump for under estimating sacrifices of Pakistan in the war against terrorism.

Later the speaker adjourned the session sine die.
