Aleem appointed as president of Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party

LAHORE:Patron-in-Chief of newly-floated Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party Jahangir Khan Tareen on Monday announced names for the party posts, appointing Abdul Aleem Khan as the presiden. In a post uploaded on Twitter, Jahangir Tareen appointed Aamir Mehmood Kiyani as party’s secretary general, Awn Chaudhary as additional secretary general and spokesperson of the party’s Patron-in-Chief as well. Jahangir Tareen said further appointments in the party will be announced soon.

Tareen officially on Thursday announced his new political party called “Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party” at a news conference. He was flanked by former PTI leaders including Aleem Khan, Imran Ismail and others on Thursday. Tareen parted ways with Khan when a money laundering was registered against him during the PTI-led government. Tareen made considerable headway in wooing PTI defectors after over 100 leaders from across the country participated in a dinner thrown by Aleem Khan at his residence in honour of Tareen and his group a day earlier.
