All MPAs will have to undergo coronavirus test after two more legislators infected

Karachi:All Sindh MPAs will have to undergo coronavirus test before attending Sindh Assembly session to be held on June 2 as two more legislators were infected by the virus.

Two more Pakistan People’s Party MPAs, Sajid Jokhio and Sadia Javed, have been tested positive for the coronavirus, raising the virus-infected MPAs toll to eight in Sindh by Thursday.

So far, six MPAs of PPP and one each of MQM and MMA have been infected by the virus. All MPAs of Sindh have been directed to ensure conducting of coronavirus test so as to be able to attend the provincial assembly session to be held on June 2. However, three MPAs have recovered from the virus, including Mangla Sharma, Saeed Ghani and Abdul Rasheed.

MPA Rana Hameer Singh affiliated with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) tested positive for the coronavirus on May 20. Tharparkar-based MPA Rana Hameer Singh has contracted the COVID-19, according to a report issued by the diagnostic and research lab of the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences.

PPP member provincial assembly Sindh, Sohrab Sarki was tested positive for novel coronavirus on May 21. His five family members of the MPA also tested positive for the virus. MQM MPA Mangla Sharma had tested positive for the coronavirus on May 13. According to Sharma, her husband was also tested positive for coronavirus.
