Karachi, February 23, 2018 (PPI-OT): Allied Bank organized a seminar on “Simpler Taxation Systems Enabling High Growth in Tax Net” in Islamabad recently, with former Governor SBP – Dr. Ishrat Husain as the key note speaker. The seminar was attended by the Senior officials of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, Chairman Taxation Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP), Council and Regional Committee Members of ICAP, President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Leading Tax consultants and Representatives from Professional Accountancy Firms along with various commercial and corporate obligors of Allied Bank.
The seminar also included introductory remarks from CEO Allied Bank Mr. Tahir Hassan Qureshi. Other speakers included Mr. Khawaja Tanveer Ahmed – Member Inland Revenue Operations FBR, Mr. Ashfaq Yousaf Tola – Council Member and Chairman Taxation Committee of ICAP and Mr. Imran Waheed – President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The session was followed by a question and answer session. The speakers and participants appreciated this initiative of Allied Bank; which the Bank intends to continue with higher engagement from FBR and SECP officials.
