PESHAWAR: On the direction of Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Farman, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister, KP, for Higher Education and Information Kamran Bangash presided over a separate Senate meeting on Friday on the budget of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan and University of Engineering and Technology Mardan for the financial year 2021-22.

 

After reviewing the budget priorities and technical aspects of the budget of the said universities for the financial year 2021-22, the budget of both the universities for the financial year 2021-22 was formally approved.

 

Kamran Bangash congratulated Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan on its excellent position in the world rankings and excellent academic and administrative performance and said that it is heartening to see public sector universities financially and administratively stable. He hoped that all the universities of the province will make proper use of their resources to maintain their financial and academic discipline.

 

Later, the Senate meeting of Women’s University Mardan was also held at Governor House Peshawar in which the budget and priorities and technical aspects of the university’s budget for the financial year 2021-22 were reviewed and formally approved.

 

MPA Kumar and MPA Zahir Shah Toro, Principal Secretary to Governor Muhammad Idrees, Secretary Higher Education Department Muhammad Daud Khan, Additional Secretary Finance Department Ambassador Ahmed, Vice Chancellor Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan Prof Dr Zahoorul Haq, Vice Chancellor University of Engineering and Technology Mardan Prof Dr Shahid Khattak and apart from Vice Chancellor Women’s University Mardan Prof Dr Ghazala Yasmeen, other concerned senate members also attended the budget meetings.
