ISLAMABAD:Another suspect involved in the attack on General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi has been identified while another suspect involved in the attack on Radio Pakistan building in Peshawar on May 9 last has been arrested, police said on Saturday.
The name of the accused, who attacked the GHQ, is Mian Atif Mehmood Qureshi, and he is the vice president of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Rawalpindi. He is a resident of Mohalla Qureshian.
The accused actively participated in the GHQ attack. He made petrol bombs and threw them towards the main gate of the GHQ.
He also shouted anti-government slogans and played a key role in the May 9 vandalism in Rawalpindi. A noose around him has now been tightened.
