QUETTA:A five-day polio immunization campaign to administer polio to 2500,000 children below the age of five continued for the fourth consecutive day in 33 districts of the province.
According to the authorities of Polio Emergency Operation Centre Balochistan, the target of administering polio vaccine to about 2500,000 children in 33 districts of the province has been set during five-day-polio immunization campaign.
About 10,585 fixed teams, including 988 mobile teams, 941 fixed sites and 594 transit points, have been taking part in the campaign. Rashid Razaq, Coordinator, Polio Emergency Operation Centre, Balochistan said that 82 cases had so far been reported from across the country including 24 cases from Balochistan. He appealed to parents, political circles and religious scholars to extend cooperation in the fight against polio.
