Anti-polio drive launched in Balochistan’s 16 districts

QUETTA: Mather Niaz Rana, Chief Secretary Balochistan, has said that a joint struggle was required to be waged against polio.

These views were expressed by him while kicking off a five-day-anti polio drive by administering polio drops to children in Balochistan Civil Secretariat here on Monday. Urging the concerned authorities for expediting steps to make the polio campaign a success, Rana said that it was our national obligation to take part in the anti-polio drive.

He added that children, below the age of five, would be vaccinated in a five-day-anti-polio drive to be launched in 16 districts of Balochistan. On the occasion, Rashid Razzaq, Coordinator, Polio Emergency Operation Centre, Balochistan briefed Chief Secretary Balochistan about the anti-polio drive.
