QUETTA:All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA), Population Welfare Department, has called on authorities to conduct inquiry into the embezzlement of Rs51 lac released to Population Welfare Department through UNFPA project.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday, it said that out of the released amount for the said project, Rs14 lacs has been drawn for the repair of conference room, but a single penny has not been utilized for the renovation of the conference room of Population Welfare Department. Statement says that in papers several training programs had been arranged and renovation work carried out, but in reality nothing has been done on the ground.
It said that it needs to be probed as to how one firm namely “Umair Firm” had drawn the whole amount meant for arranging seminars, conferences and training programs in Population Welfare Department besides carrying out repair and renovation work. APCA, Population Welfare Department, Balochistan calls on authorities to conduct inquiry into embezzlement of Rs. 51 lac released to Population Welfare Department through UNFPA project and take strict disciplinary action against the authorities of the said project.
