APHC-AJK holds protest demo in front of Indian HC in Islamabad

Islamabad, February 03, 2019 (PPI-OT): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter held a protest demonstration in front of the Indian High Commission in Islamabad, today, to register protest against the visit of the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, to occupied Kashmir.

The Hurriyat leaders on the occasion said that the visit of the Indian Prime Minister to the occupied territory was immoral and illegal. They said that Indian forces’ personnel were committing the grave human rights violations in occupied Kashmir where they had killed lacs of innocent Kashmiris.

The Hurriyat leaders deplored that Indian troops were using fatal weapons including pellet guns on peaceful protesters which was against the international laws. Similarly, they said thousands of innocent Kashmiris had been put jails and many of them had been booked under draconian Public Safety Act (PSA).

They said the Hurriyat leadership believes in peaceful settlement of the Kashmir dispute through meaningful and result-oriented tripartite dialogue among Pakistan, India and the genuine leaders of the Kashmiri people.

The Hurriyat leaders said that the purpose of Narendra Modi’s visit to occupied Kashmir was to divert the attention of the international community from the Kashmir dispute and the gross human rights violations being committed by Indian troops in the occupied territory.
