APHC-AJK leaders hold meeting in Muzaffarabad

Muzaffarabad, October 26, 2019 (PPI-OT): The leaders of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter held a meeting in Muzaffarabad, today. The participants of the meeting reviewed arrangements for observing October 27 as black day, the day India had landed its troops in Srinagar and illegally occupied the territory of Jammu and Kashmir in 1947.

They condemned the unprovoked shelling of Indian troops on the civilian population along the Line of Control. The participants said that the Indian actions posed a big threat to the regional peace. They appealed to the international community to take notice of Indian aggression on the LoC. The participants of the meeting also expressed profound grief and sorrow over the untimely death of renowned Kashmiri scholar, Professor Dr Syed Abdul Rehman Gilani, who died of cardiac arrest in New Delhi.

At the end of the meeting, prayers were offered for Professor Dr Syed Abdul Rehman Gilani and those martyred in the unprovoked firing of Indian troops in the areas along the LoC. The meeting was chaired by Sheikh Abdul Mateen and attended among others by Aijaz Rehmani, Advocate Pervaiz Ahmed, Ishtiaq Hameed, Khadim Hussain, Abdul Majeed Mir, Altaf Wani and Zahid Safi.
