APHC-AJK reviews IIOJK situation, pays tributes to Sheikh Aziz

Islamabad, August 09, 2020 (PPI-OT): A meeting of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter was held in Islamabad with Convener, Muhammad Hussain Khateeb in chair, today. The participants of the meeting reviewed the current situation of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and paid glowing tributes to senior Hurriyat leader Sheikh Abdul Aziz on his martyrdom anniversary.

It was stated in the meeting that Sheikh Abdul Aziz was a pleader of Jammu and Kashmir’s accession to Pakistan and he had spent his entire life in educating the Kashmiri youth for the liberation movement and endured years of imprisonment for the same ‘crime’.

It was stated in the meeting that 12 years ago, when the Hindus of Jammu imposed an economic blockade on Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and forced the Kashmiri people on starvation, Sheikh Abdul Aziz led a large protest march towards Rawalpindi and introduced the slogan “Kashmir Ki Mandi Rawalpindi”. Indian troops opened fire on Sheikh Abdul Aziz and martyred him.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has also planned a seminar on “Journey of Martyrdom” in Islamabad on August 11 wherein various aspects of the life of the martyred leader will be highlighted and the current situation of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir will be discussed.
