APHC hails new map showing IIOJK as part of Pakistan

Srinagar, August 07, 2020 (PPI-OT): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the General Secretary of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), Molvi Bashir Ahmad has welcomed the new map approved by Pakistan which shows the occupied territory as part of Pakistan.

Molvi Bashir Ahmad in a media interview in Srinagar said that the new map of Pakistan reflected the Two-Nation Theory and the ground reality. He said the Kashmir dispute is a reality and it was a part of Pakistan. He said that a part of Jammu and Kashmir was liberated by Kashmiris, which was named as Azad Jammu and Kashmir and a part of the disputed territory was still illegally occupied by India and the Kashmiri people were continuing their struggle to liberate it from the Indian occupation.

Molvi Bashir Ahmed welcomed Pakistan’s announcement to confer Nishan-e-Pakistan, the highest Civil Award of the country, on the veteran Kashmiri Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani. He maintained that Syed Ali Gilani is the heartbeat of Kashmiris and voice of freedom.

The APHC General Secretary termed the renaming of Kashmir Highway as Srinagar Highway by the Government of Pakistan as a good move which would highlight the Kashmir dispute at the international level and draw the attention of the international community to this lingering dispute.

He also praised Pakistan for observing Yaum-e-Istehsal on August 5 and expressing complete solidarity with the oppressed people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The said that government and people of Pakistan had been continuing to provide moral, political and diplomatic support to the Kashmiris in their just struggle for securing their inalienable right to self-determination.

Meanwhile, the APHC spokesman in a statement welcomed the 5th August UN Security Council session on the Kashmir dispute and the prevailing situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He termed the session as an eye-opener for India and said that New Delhi should realise that the international community didn’t support its illegal stance on the Kashmir dispute and disapproved its unilateral actions and policies. Despite India’s propaganda and lies, the world is aware of the ground situation, he added.

The spokesman thanked Pakistan, Turkey and China for their moral support for the resolution of Kashmir dispute and highlighting the human rights violations by Indian troops in the occupied territory. He lauded the role of Kashmir diaspora, social media activists and well-wishers of Kashmir throughout the world in arranging powerful protests and awareness campaign in various countries on August 05, which was observed as Siege Day.

The spokesman also hailed the people of the occupied territory for the cause of freedom and making the strike call a crystal clear message to India and the world community that no amount of suppression could deter them from carrying forward their freedom struggle.
