SHIKARPUR:A man was gunned down by his rival enemies on Maakarr Pull near Gaheja within the limit of Gaheja police station on Monday.
The man, Wahid Bux Junejo, 45, was on his bike from his village towards Madeji town when some group of armed men opened fire on him. As a result, he suffered severe bullet injuries and died on the spot. The police shifted the body to Government Hospital Madeji for medico-legal formalities and later handed over to the heirs. The cause behind the murder was said to be a personal enmity, said local police.
The relatives of the deceased block the Indus Highway Madeji for hours while keeping the victims’ body on the road and staged a demonstration for the arrest of real culprits involved in the murder. They also demanded registration of FIR of the murder case. The road was reopened for vehicular traffic after intervention of Shikarpur police on the assurance of arrest of the murderers. No FIR was registered till filing this report.
