Lahore, December 12, 2019 (PPI-OT): According to vision of IGP Shoaib Dastgir and on instructions of Addl IG PHP capt R Zafar Iqbal Awan, Punjab highway patrol carried out timely actions against criminals in order to protect lives and properties of the citizens on high ways. According to details, in the last week, PHP registered 189 cases against rash drivers. 30 cases have been registered against fake and illegal number plates, 18 cases have been registered against the persons in violations of Sound Act, Arrested 67 drivers on installing prohibited gas cylinders in their vehicles.
Moreover, PHP provided service and help to 2960 road commuters and passengers besides removing 244 temporary encroachments. PHP teams reunited 4 children to their parents namely Muhammad Mudassir, Ali Haider, Muhammad Shahid and Aftab Ahmad. Furthermore, it was directed to Addl IG PHP captain retired Zafar Iqbal Awan by the IG Punjab Shoaib Dastgir that PHP teams should conduct more effective patrolling in roads in the weather of fog and every possible steps should be taken to protect lives and properties of citizens and also provision of facilities to passengers.
