ISLAMABAD: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad on Wednesday rejected the bail of PTI Chairman Imran Khan in a case pertaining to a protest outside the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
The ATC Judge Raja Jawad Abbas Hassan, who heard the case, rejected the bail on the grounds of non-appearance in the court by the PTI Chief.
Imran Khan was booked in the case in October last year after the Toshakhana case verdict was announced by the ECP, sparking protests.
Imran Khan had been on interim bail on medical grounds after he was injured in an assassination attempt in Wazirabad during a rally on November 3.
