Attack on restaurant owner by BJP men in Bhaderwah flayed

Jammu, April 18, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Freedom Movement (JKFM), Muhammad Sharif Sartaj, has denounced the attack on the owner of a restaurant, Tauseef Ahmed, by activists of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Bhaderwah town of Doda district in Jammu region.

Muhammad Sharif Sartaj in a statement issued in Jammu said that the BJP activists attacked Tauseef Ahmed, the owner of Zaiqa Restaurant in Bhaderwah, when he was coming back after delivering an order to a customer. He said the BJP attackers in a street severely tortured him and latter people took him to hospital for treatment. The situation of Bhaderwah is tense after the incident.

Sharif Sartaj said the BJP activists are leaving no stone unturned in Jammu to harass the Muslims and force them to leave the region. He said that the BJP activists are time and again putting pressure on Muslims to vote in favour of their party. He said situation in Bhaderwah further worsened when the BJP miscreants equipped with sophisticated weapons came to Bhaderwah bazaar and raised slogans against Muslims and Pakistan.

He appealed to the UN and world human rights organizations to take notice of the growing deteriorating situation of Jammu region and ensure safety of Muslims there. He also urged them to use their influence for the settlement of the lingering Kashmir dispute.
