Srinagar, August 04, 2020 (PPI-OT): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Youth Social Forum Chairman, Umar Aadil Dar has said that India is working on a wicked plan to turn the Muslim majority Jammu and Kashmir into a minority to influence the UN-promised plebiscite in the territory.

Umar Aadil Dar in a statement issued in Srinagar while criticizing the followers of Hindutva ideology said, “These forces are working hard to sabotage the future referendum process in Jammu and Kashmir and hatching conspiracies to achieve desired results to influence the process of referendum.”

“From Srinagar to New Delhi, efforts are being made to shift focus from Kashmir issue by driving it away from its historical and ethical background,” he said. The Hurriyat leader said that since 1947, an attempt was being made to change the demography of Jammu and Kashmir and to influence its disputed nature.

Umar Aadil Dar said, “The extremist elements have always been trying to push the Kashmir issue on the back burner and dilute its historical status and disputed character.”

The JKYSF Chairman, however, made it clear that Jammu and Kashmir was an internationally recognised dispute and no unilateral decision can change its disputed nature.

Meanwhile, Hurriyat leader Jahangir Butt in a statement issued in Srinagar while reiterating that Kashmir was a disputed territory between India and Pakistan said it is moral duty of the UN Security Council to implement its resolutions to resolve the dispute as per the aspirations of Kashmiri people
