Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb today pledged the government’s commitment to supporting EU businesses in Pakistan, focusing on facilitating operations and ensuring the timely repatriation of dividends and profits.
Aurangzeb conveyed his appreciation to Ambassador of the European Union Dr Riina Kionka during a meeting in Islamabad. He emphasized the significance of the Generalized Scheme of Preferences Plus (GSP Plus) facility, describing it as a critical enabler for Pakistan’s export-led growth efforts.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing economic and trade relations between Pakistan and the European Union. Dr. Kionka noted that European companies increasingly view Pakistan as a hub for potential business opportunities, highlighting the mutual benefits of a thriving business environment.
