Lahore, June 22, 2018 (PPI-OT): In the first of the five match hockey series, Canada defeated Pakistan Development squad 3-0 at Tamanawis Park, Surrey. The hosts settled down quickly and took an early lead when Gordon Johnston converted the first penalty corner with a high flick. However, it was more or less an even play in the first quarter. Canada appeared a better side during the next 15 minutes. After wasting a penalty corner, they doubled the lead through open play. TeH concerned over continued detention of Hurriyat leaders

Srinagar, June 22, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir (TeH) has expressed serious concern over the continued illegal detention of several Hurriyat leaders including Raja Merajuddin Kalwal, Altaf Ahmed Shah, Peer Saifullah and Ayaz Muhammad Akbar. Tehreek-e-Hurriyat in a statement issued in Srinagar said, Raja Merajuddin’s seven-member family has no male member at home. “The seven female members at home include his four small daughters, wife, mother-in-law and his own mother,” it said. Five killed, many injured in Indian troops’ actions in IOK

Srinagar, June 22, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, five people were martyred and dozens others, including a woman, were injured in the brutal actions of Indian troops in Islamabad district, today. The troops opened fire on a residential house during a cordon and search operation in Srigufwara area of the district, critically injuring the owner of the house, Muhammad Yousuf Rathar, and his wife, Hafeeza Begum. The injured were shifted to sub-district hospital Bijbehara for treatment. However, Rathar was declared dead on arrival while Hafeeza was shifted to Soura Institute of Medical Sciences in Srinagar for specialized treatment.
