Balochistan Bar Council on Tuesday today condemned the allegations of Karachi University Syndicate against judge of Islamabad High Court Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri regarding fake degree and termed the act as a conspiracy against judiciary.

In a statement, the Bar said that justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri was a judge who had passed judgments in accordance with constitution, adding that meeting of the university’s syndicate was convened at the behest of secretary agencies for levelling allegations against Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri without any evidence.

Statement said that earlier in the case of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, the matric certificate of a just judge Justice Ghulam Safdar Ali Shah was declared fake on malafide intention, adding that Balochistan Bar Council stood with independent judiciary and judges who passed judgement on merit. It said that country wide movement would be launched against such illegal acts.
