Balochistan Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, declared on Monday that a targeted operation against terrorists would be launched in the province.

Speaking to the media, following a session of the Balochistan Provincial Assembly, Bugti emphasized that there was no alternative but to take action against those involved in the killings of innocent citizens and the abduction of children.

The Chief Minister’s statement comes as the region grapples with growing security concerns. Bugti expressed that the government’s decision to initiate the operation was driven by the need to protect the lives of innocent people and to bring an end to the violence that has plagued the province. He further stated that terrorist activities, including kidnappings and killings, had left the people of Balochistan living in fear, and the government’s primary responsibility was to ensure their safety.

In response to critics of the operation, Bugti urged political parties opposing the targeted operation to offer alternative solutions to address the terrorism problem. He pointed out that those who were against the operation had failed to present any concrete plans to combat the growing threat of terrorism in the province.

On questions regarding a potential change in leadership, the Chief Minister declined to comment, reiterating his commitment to continuing his work for the betterment of the people of Balochistan.
