Islamabad, February 20, 2020 (PPI-OT):He applauded the role of IT Ministry and the developer of application “Baytee” while addressing on launching ceremony of the application Baytee at PC hotel Karachi. Woman empowerment has started today in Karachi and the step towards delimiting the feudal society starts, he further added.
The evils of honour killing and wani has to be stopped now. In this context this application has been developed to empower women an access to free information and awareness.
While stressing the role of women, he quoted the example of Bangladesh by referring the role played by women in Bangladesh.
The contract with the universities in Finland will enable us to send 1 million people; I expect at least 0.7 million to be women.
“One of the most important responsibility of Riyasat e Madina is to protect Baytee (woman)” said Imran Ismail Governor Sindh while addressing to the launching ceremony.
He emphasised on the role of women, talent and connectivity lapse in society by applauding the initiative of Dr Khalid Maqbul Siddiqui.
The launch of Baytee program will excel and empower the women in society.
The government has launched one of the largest social network to empower women with free access to information said Imran Ismail Governor Sindh while addressing at the launching ceremony of the “Baytee”.
The CEO, Huawei Mr. Said Chi was too invited at the inauguration. He said,“Technology will completely change our lives; trainings and job opportunities shall be imparted through this application”.
A user friendly application named “Baytee” has been launched to empower women with easy access to information in Pakistan.
Presidential Secretariat with the assistance of Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT), NITB and Huawei, would be empowering women through ICT. The project launched mobile application for women which will provide: Advocacy on Women rights, Disseminate information on Laws and Regulations, Search Women focused Education schools, Scholarship, Training opportunities, Job portal, Helpline, Threaded Discussions, Health Services etc. This project will achieve following objectives.
Easy access of information for Health Services, Hospitals and Health Care Services, Hospitals and Health advice.
Provide opportunities (for females) like jobs, scholarships, career counselling, internships and trainings etc.
Helpline center providing information on law, rules, regulations on Women Rights.
Inspiration stories and entrepreneurship opportunity in financial sector for women.
The launching ceremony of the application Baytee was participated by Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Imran Ismail Governor Sindh, Mr. Saif Chi CEO Huawei, Waseem Akhtar Mayor Karachi, Nasreen Jaleel and Faisal Sabzwari.
