Islamabad: The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) and the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) have pledged to develop a more efficient and transparent payment system to aid deserving women. This initiative aims to simplify the stipend distribution process under the BISP, which supports impoverished women across Pakistan.

According to Press Information Department, the agreement was reached during a meeting between BISP Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid and SBP Governor Mr. Jameel Ahmed. The discussions focused on creating a dignified and seamless mechanism for financial transactions to ensure that aid reaches the beneficiaries without undue complications.

The enhancements will involve collaboration to devise a payment process that respects the dignity of the recipients and adheres to the visions of Pakistan’s leadership for accountability and support to underprivileged sections of the society. Both leaders committed to a partnership that prioritizes the needs and rights of women in the disbursement of financial aid.
