Plea to provide benevolent fund, health cards

LARKANA:Government Retired Employees Welfare Association, Sindh, has once again complained about non-payment of group insurance, benevolent fund and non-provision of health cards.

In a statement on Monday, association president Hamza Ali Kalhoro said that it was decided in a meeting held at a local hotel that if their justified demands were not met, they would out on roads on 15th November in this age for acceptance of their demands.

He said they had rendered their entire life for serving the government and denying them their basic rights in fact amount to criminal negligence for which apex court has also already ordered to pay group insurance to the retired employees on retirement but provincial government is only issuing statements for political gains and have done nothing as yet to make payment.

He said they very badly needed a benevolent fund and health card for medical treatment as most of them were suffering from various ailments and their well-qualified sons and daughters were also unemployed. Khadim Hussain Bhutto, Imamuddin Babar, Nazir Deenari, Shahnawaz Jamali, Gul Hassan Mirjat and others also attended the meeting.
