BEWGA warns of resuming movement if demands are not met

QUETTA:Balochistan Employees and Workers Grand Alliance (BEWGA) has called on authorities to grant 25 percent disparity reduction allowance to the employees of Balochistan and announce 10 percent increase in their salaries.

Addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club here on Wednesday with Dad Muhammad Baloch, Habib-ur-Rehman Mardanzai, Abdul Khaliq Baloch, Mama Salam, Salam Zehri, Abdul Hameed and others, Abdul Malik Kakar, Convener, BEWGA said that a protest sit-in observed in Quetta by the employees of the province from March 29 to April 10, 2021 was called off on the direction of a court as the government of Balochistan had assured the court that demands of BEWGA would be entertained.

He added that despite lapse of considerable period of time, the demands of BEWGA had not yet been met. He urged authorities to accept their demands; otherwise, BEWGA would commence a protest movement.
