Bhagwat’s remarks signal India has to follow RSS dictates: Soz

Srinagar, October 22, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, former Indian Minister and Congress leader, Prof Saifuddin Soz has said that RSS chief, Mohan Bhagwat’s remarks wherein he exhorted people to take measures to integrate Kashmir with India carries a signal that the Indian government has to follow what the Hindu right-wing party proposes for it.

Prof Saifuddin Soz in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “The RSS chief, Mohan Bhagwat has asserted that a section of Kashmiris want independence from India”. So, Soz said, he (Bhagwat) exhorts people to put in efforts to integrate Kashmiris with India. He added, “Bhagwat does not feel the necessity of talking to the people of Kashmir at all. The statement of Bhagwat also carries a signal that the Govt of India has to follow what the RSS has to propose.”

Speaking at a book launch function in Nagpur, recently, Bhagwat said the abrogation of Article 370 has not solved the problem completely, and there is a section of population there which still speaks of Azadi. He said the Indian society must reach out to this section so as to integrate it with India.
