Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Wednesday termed the recent counter-terrorism operation in North Waziristan a major success for the country’s security forces, and described the deceased as “Indian-backed terrorists.”
The PPP chairman paid tribute to the personnel involved in the operation, praising the bravery and steadfastness shown by the soldiers during the encounter with the militants.
In a statement, Zardari expressed confidence that terrorism would soon be eliminated thanks to the determination and effective strategy of Pakistan’s defense institutions.
He added that his party has an unwavering commitment to eradicating extremism and terrorism from the country. Zardari emphasized that the Peoples Party is determined to ensure the “impregnable defense of the country at all costs.”
