A devastating bomb blast near the Rakhshan hotel zero point area in Khuzdar led to the tragic death of four children and injuries to several others as a school bus was caught in the explosion on Wednesday.

Deputy Commissioner Khuzdar, Yasir Iqbal Dashti, informed the media that the bomb detonated as the school bus passed through the area, resulting in the casualties.

A large contingent of the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps, and police swiftly responded to the scene, securing the area and facilitating the transfer of the deceased and wounded to nearby hospitals.

Station House Officer Bahawal Khan reported that four of the injured were taken to Teaching Hospital Khuzdar, while the remaining were sent to Combined Military Hospital Khuzdar.

The region has witnessed activity from banned Baloch armed groups, and it is noteworthy that TehreekeTaliban recently claimed responsibility for an attack that killed four levies personnel in the Nal area of Khuzdar district the previous week.
