Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, met with Pakistani boxer Alia Soomro, who recently won the World Boxing Title, to congratulate her on her success. The Chief Minister announced a reward of 1 million rupees for Alia and stated that if she needs a coach, the Sindh government will arrange for it.

The meeting was also attended by Provincial Minister Ali Hassan Zardari, Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab, Principal Secretary Agha Wasif, and MPAs Shazia Karim and Muhammad Yousuf Baloch. The Chief Minister advised Alia to prepare for the Asian Games and assured her that the government stands by her as she continues to work hard.

Alia Soomro, who hails from Lyari, is the first Pakistani woman to win a World Boxing Title. She is currently training in Thailand. According to the spokesperson of the Chief Minister of Sindh, she will face an Indian boxer in Dubai in two months.

Syed Murad Ali Shah stated that Alia has brought international recognition to Pakistan, and they are proud of her. He assured that the Sindh government will fully support her.
