The business community of Islamabad and Rawalpindi on Thursday announced a solidarity rally in support of the Pakistan Armed Forces and against Indian aggression.

The rally is scheduled to be held on May 10 (Saturday), starting from F-9 Park and concluding at the National Press Club, Islamabad. This announcement was made during a press conference at the National Press Club by Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, President of the Islamabad Developers Association.

He was accompanied by Ajmal Baloch, President of All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajiran; Sardar Tahir Mehmood, President of Islamabad Estate Agents Association and Federation of Retailers; former President Chaudhry Rauf; Zahid Rafiq, Sardar Azhar, and other prominent trader leaders from the twin cities.

Sardar Yasir Ilyas stated that in the event of war, the trader community and overseas Pakistanis are ready to offer full financial support for the defense of the country. ‘Over 90,000 civilians and military personnel have laid down their lives for this country.

The cowardly enemy is now challenging a nuclear state and launching attacks using Israeli-made drones. The time has come to give a befitting response,’ he said.

He emphasized that the rally, which will begin at 3:00 pm on Saturday, is being organized solely in the national interest, beyond any political affiliation. ‘This is the army that stays awake so we can sleep. If we have this country, only then do we exist. On Saturday, the entire nation will stand with the Pakistan Army,’ he added.

Ajmal Baloch, President of All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajiran, said, ‘The whole nation stands with its armed forces. If we act, India will not dare show its face again. This rally will demonstrate our unity and unwavering support for our soldiers. India must understand not to harm itself or others.’

He further said that this will be a historic rally and a massive gathering to express solidarity with the armed forces across the country. ‘Israeli products have been removed from markets, and traders are now promoting Pakistani goods. We are doing everything possible for the betterment of the Muslim Ummah. We are ready for martyrdom,’ he declared.

Former President of Islamabad Estate Agents Association, Chaudhry Rauf, stressed that the time has come for national unity. ‘Today, the world is condemning Indian media. Pakistan’s media is free and independent, and we must win this media war.

We assure our armed forces of our readiness to sacrifice our lives at their command. We reject any water aggression from India and vow to show unity as a nation.’

Awais Satti, President of Islamabad Small Traders Association, also pledged full support to the armed forces and expressed readiness to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with them at the borders. ‘We will give a strong and befitting reply to India,’ he stated.
