Business: PFVA wants to export Kinnow to Afghanistan

Karachi:All Pakistan Fruits and Vegetable, Exporters, Importers and Merchants Association (PFVA) has requested the government to allow export of Kinnow to Afghanistan after the government has opened the Torkham border for a limited period.

The government of Pakistan has recently opened the Torkham border on humanitarian ground for few days to let stranded Afghanistan nationals in Pakistan to return to their country.

In a letter to Ministry of Interior, Chairman PFVA Abdul Malik has requested to let exporters export 800,000 cartons of Pakistan Kinnow to Afghanistan.

“We can kill two birds with one stone since border has been opened on humanitarian ground, we can, in the meantime export kinnows as well,” he said.
