CHAMAN:Deputy Commissioner, Chaman, Captain (Retd) Jumadad Khan Mandokhail has requested Commissioner Quetta Division to approach Moulana Fazl Ur Rehman, leader of JUI (F) to cancel his visit of district Chaman as the security wise situation is not clear and feasible in district Chaman of Balochistan province owing to reliable threats of terrorism in Chaman district.

In his letter addressed to Commissioner Quetta Division on January 28, 2022, copy available with PPI, Captain (Retd) Jumadad Khan Mandokhail states, “Leader of JUI (F) Moulana Fazl Ur Rehman is scheduled to visit district Chaman on 1st February, 2022 for the participation in a convocation/ jalsa in Allama Abdul Ghani Madrassa, Chaman.

Apropos, last night during an incident of terrorism Levies Sepoy namely Muhammad Naeem son of Haji Naseeb Ashezai got injured due to target killing of unknown miscreants while he was performing duty at Ahmed Naka Chaman. He was brought to DHQ Hospital, Chaman but could not succumb to injuries and got martyrdom. Subsequently, TTP has claimed the responsibility.

Hence, the security wise situation is not clear and feasible. There are reliable threats reports of terrorism in Chaman district, therefore, keeping in view the current situation, the visit/ jalsa of Moulana Fazl Ur Rehman be cancelled as the district administration Chaman cannot give security clearance in present sensitive situation. Foregoing in view it is requested to approach the quarter concerned to approach leader of JUI (F) to cancel his visit/ jalsa of district Chaman.”
