A high-level dialogue hosted by BankIslami today emphasized the need to further strengthen strategic ties between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, culminating in a consensus among stakeholders to create deeper avenues for bilateral cooperation.

The reception dinner, held in honor of Pakistan”s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, H.E. Ahmad Farooq, brought together members of the Pakistani diaspora and Saudi civil society to discuss the long-standing relationship.

Ambassador Farooq addressed the gathering, highlighting the nearly eight-decade-long partnership between the two countries. He pointed to the deep strategic alignment, enduring mutual trust, and shared Islamic solidarity as the cornerstones of the alliance.

The Ambassador also commended the Pakistani community residing in the Kingdom for their significant contributions to reinforcing people-to-people linkages.

In response, members of the diaspora expressed their gratitude to Ambassador Farooq for his dedicated service and the Embassy’s consistent support, noting the positive influence of his leadership on the nations” bilateral relations.

Representing the event”s host, Imran H Shaikh praised Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, describing it as a benchmark for other countries and a reflection of the far-sighted leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Shaikh affirmed BankIslami”s dedication to the global expansion of Islamic banking. He stated the institution is “committed to…delivering meaningful, Shariah-compliant value to communities worldwide.”

BankIslami also reaffirmed its commitment to advancing interest-free (Riba-free) Islamic financing and supporting broader community-focused initiatives.
