QUETTA: Balochistan Higher Education Grand Alliance (BHEGA) Thursday demanded of the authorities to allocate Rs10 billion in the head meant for grant-in-aid for the universities of the province and ensure the representation of teachers, officers and staff in syndicates, senate, academic council and finance committees of the universities.
These and similar other demands were made in the protest demonstration held outside Quetta Press Club under the aegis of BHEGA here on Thursday.
Rejecting Balochistan Model Universities Act 2022, speakers demanded of the authorities to allocate Rs10 billion in the head meant for grant-in-aid for the Universities of the province and ensure the representation of teachers, officers and staff in syndicates, senates, academic councils and finance committees of the universities.
The protest demonstration was addressed by Professor Kaleemullah Bareach, President, BHEGA, Professor Hameed, Professor Tariq Baloch and others.
