QUETTA: Syed Dawood Agha, Provincial Executive Member, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Balochistan, has demanded of the authorities to take steps in order to end street crimes in Alamdar Road and Hazara Town areas of Quetta, otherwise protest movement would be started.

Addressing a press conference in the office of PPP Alamdar unit, Quetta here on Friday, he said that security forces had failed to provide protection to the people of Alamdar Road and its adjoining areas, adding that several crimes had taken place in Alamdar Road and its adjoining areas, but no action from the part of security forces had been taken.

He said that maltreatment with the people of Hazara community may turn into any mishap. He said it needed to be known as to how many crimes had been committed in Alamdar Road and its adjoining areas falling in the precincts of Quaidabad Police Station and Police Station Quetta Cantt, adding that it must also be investigated as to how thieves and miscreants cross check posts of Frontier Corps Balochistan and commit crimes.

Demanding the authorities to ensure maintaining law and order situation in Alamdar Road, its adjoining areas and Hazara Town area of Quetta, he said that if no action was taken to end the occurrence of crimes in Alamdar Road and Hazara Town area of Quetta, protest movement would be started.
