Call to remove food ravine encroachment in Quetta

QUETTA: Lal Muhammad, resident of Mominabad, Marriabad, Quetta, Wednesday demanded of the authorities to retrieve the flood ravine of Mominabad area of Quetta from the alleged encroacher.

Addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club, he alleged that one person namely Essa Khan constructed three-storey-building on flood ravine of Mominabad, Quetta without providing solid base to the building, adding that ramp/ steps of the house had also encroached road of Mominabad.

He said that the said ravine, which had been encroached, was the only way to pass rain water from mountain Muherdar, adding that the issue had been brought into the notice of Deputy Commissioner, Quetta and Administrator, Quetta Metropolitan Corporation, but so far no action had been taken. He said that if the encroached land was not retrieved, rain and flood water might cause catastrophic damages.

He called on Chief Justice, Supreme Court of Pakistan, Chief Justice Balochistan High Court, Chief Minister Balochistan, Chief Secretary Balochistan and other concerned authorities to retrieve the flood ravine of Mominabad area of Quetta from the alleged encroacher.
