BOSTAN:Tribal Jirga of Bostan, has called on Divisional Superintendent, Pakistan Railway, Balochistan to withdraw the decision to auction historical boogies stationed at Bostan Junction Railway Station, district Pishin of Balochistan province. This demand was made in a tribal Jirga (council) held in Bostan on Tuesday.

Addressing the Jirga, speakers said that Bostan junction railway station, located in Bostan, district Pishin of Balochistan province, serves as the junction between Rohri-Chaman railway and Zhob valley railway, but the recent decision of railway authorities to auction railway boogies of Bostan Junction, shift historical sofas and other antique materials from the junction and the decision not to stop train at Bostan railway junction was tantamount to damaging historical heritage of the province.

They called on Divisional Superintendent (DS), Pakistan Railway and other concerned authorities to review decision and take steps for restoring the historical status of Bostan Junction Railway Station otherwise strict future course of action would be devised after consulting religious scholars, tribal elders, representatives of different political parties and youths of the area. Tribal Jirga was addressed, inter alia, by ex-Nazim Abdul Qahir Panezai, ex-Nazim Muhammad Naseem Khan Nasar, ex Chairman, Amin-ud-Din Bazai and ex-Nazim, Muhammad Azam Bazai.
